A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Nash’s story
Meet Nash
Nash is a 6-year-old, petite brindle Pit Bull with a heart as big as they come.
After spending his entire life in one home, Nash recently came to us as an owner surrender when his family's work schedules changed and there was no one left who could provide the care he needed. Through no fault of his own, everything he has ever known was suddenly gone.
Now, this sweet boy is left wondering what he did wrong.
At only around 45 pounds, Nash is on the smaller side, but he makes up for it with an abundance of love. He adores children, enjoys car rides, and has previously lived successfully with other dogs. Everyone who meets him quickly falls for his gentle, affectionate personality.
But beneath that sweet smile is a dog who is hurting.
Every time we take Nash for a walk, he tries to pull us toward the road — the same road he knows leads home. He isn't trying to be difficult; he's trying to find his family. Watching him search for the place and people he loves is heartbreaking.
The shelter is a scary and stressful place for a dog who has never known anything but a home. While Nash continues to greet everyone with kindness and affection, we can see the confusion and sadness he carries with him every day.
Nash is scheduled to be neutered on June 24th, at which point he will officially be available for adoption. However, we are hoping someone may be willing to open their heart sooner through a foster-to-adopt arrangement — or even a temporary foster home to give him a chance to decompress and find some peace while he waits.
Nash doesn't need much. A comfy couch. A few car rides. Some people to love. Most of all, he needs someone to show him that losing his home wasn't the end of his story.
Let's help this sweet boy find his way home again.
