A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Gretal’s story

HANSEL & GRETEL ARE FINDING THEIR BRAVE

When Hansel and Gretel first came to us, they were scared of their own shadows. The world felt big, people were unfamiliar, and trust was something they simply hadn't learned yet.

But little by little, these two are showing us who they really are.

Now, you can catch them running around the yard, playing together, chasing each other, and simply enjoying being dogs. Their confidence is growing more and more every day, and one of the biggest changes of all? They're learning to trust people.

They're discovering that hands can bring treats and affection, that people can mean safety, and that maybe the world isn't quite as scary as they once thought.

Hansel and Gretel still have growing to do, and a shelter can only take them so far. What they really need is the consistency, patience, and love of a home where they can continue building their confidence and learning what it means to be part of a family.

We would LOVE to find them a forever home, but even a foster home would give them an incredible opportunity to keep growing outside of the shelter environment.

They've already come so far. We can only imagine who they'll become with someone beside them showing them that they're safe.

Adoption or foster — either one could change their world.

Hansel and Gretel are ready for their next chapter. They just need someone willing to help them write it.
