Eeyore

Eeyore has come such a long way since arriving with his companion Pooh Bear. Once underweight, shut down, and struggling to cope, he now stands at a healthy 80 pounds and is full of life, personality, and so much potential.

Recently, Eeyore got the chance to spend time in the True Friends house... and watching him was nothing short of incredible.

It was like he instantly remembered what it feels like to be part of a home.

He zoomed around with pure joy, jumped and spun across the bed, admired himself in the bathroom mirror, and even went right to the door to go potty like he'd done it his entire life. When he came back inside, he sat perfectly in the kitchen waiting patiently for a treat.

For a little while, he was relaxed. Happy. Comfortable.
But now Eeyore is back in the kennels, and once again, he's becoming overwhelmed.

The noise, constant stimulation, and stress of shelter life are starting to weigh heavily on him again. We know this dog is so much more than what people see behind kennel doors. Outside of that environment, he is goofy, affectionate, eager to learn, and desperate for connection.

We are urgently looking for a home willing to help Eeyore succeed — one that can help him burn off energy, continue working on his manners, provide structure, and most importantly, give him the patience and consistency he deserves.

Eeyore is:
• Neutered
• Microchipped
• Up to date on vaccines
• Housebroken
• Knows basic commands

He is dog selective and would need proper introductions, and no cats for this boy.

This is a really good dog who simply is not thriving in a shelter environment anymore. We want more than anything for Eeyore to finally walk out of the kennel for good.
