Meet Butchy.

Meet Butchy

This handsome Boxer mix came to us after our local cruelty officer stepped in to help.

When Butchy arrived, he was skinny, frail, frightened, and fighting for his life with parvovirus. While our team is still working around the clock to help the parvo-positive puppies currently in our care, Butchy's arrival added another layer of stress, worry, and heartache to an already difficult situation.

From the moment he came through our doors, staff jumped into action. Around-the-clock care, medications, fluid therapy day and night, endless monitoring, and a whole lot of love have been poured into helping this sweet boy heal. There have been moments when Butchy has been touch — and-go, and we've held our breath more than once. But through it all, he continues to fight.

And what makes it even harder is just how wonderful he is.

At only 3 years old, Butchy is housebroken, gentle, quiet, and incredibly loving. Despite everything he's been through, he still leans into affection and looks to people for comfort. It didn't take long for him to steal the hearts of everyone here.

We don't know what his life looked like before he arrived, but we do know this: he deserves better.

Right now, our focus is on helping Butchy continue his recovery and regain his strength. Once he is fully recovered and cleared medically, he will be neutered and prepared for the next chapter of his life.

We are hopeful that brighter days are ahead for him, and when he's finally healthy enough, we'll be looking for the forever family he has always deserved.

For now, please keep Butchy in your thoughts as he continues his fight. We're rooting for you, buddy.
