At 11 years old, Bubba Wallace has found himself right back where he started.

Originally adopted from True Friends in 2014 as a young dog, Bubba's life took turns no one could have predicted. After his initial adoption, he was unknowingly passed between homes, eventually finding his way back to us at the start of this year.

For the last 7 years, Bubba had someone who truly loved him — someone who fought to keep him. But life doesn't always give us fair choices. Faced with the heartbreaking reality of becoming homeless or surrendering his best friend, his owner made the most selfless decision possible. Through tears, Bubba was returned to us so he could have a chance at stability, safety, and a future.

Now it's our turn to make that happen.

Bubba is a gentle old soul who still has so much love left to give. He's been brought up to date on vaccines, is neutered, and microchipped. He walks nicely on a leash, bonds deeply with his people, and has passed his kid test.

He will need a home without cats and is selective with other dogs, so meet-and-greets will be required.

What Bubba needs most right now is out.

The shelter is loud, overwhelming, and no place for a senior dog who just wants comfort, consistency, and someone to love him through his golden years.

He doesn't need much — just a soft place to land, a steady hand, and a heart willing to give him the peace he deserves.
